WHO WE AREAbout Us
WE ARE
Pasifika Festivals Aotearoa Incorporated Society (PFA Inc.) is a registered Charity and New Zealand’s first national peak body for Pacific festivals.
WE ARE a vibrant, intergenerational collective of Pacific festivals in Aotearoa, weaving together culture, community, leadership and celebration. PFA Inc. brings Pasifika festivals together through collaboration, cultural leadership and collective impact — strengthening New Zealand’s Pasifika festival ecosystem for generations to come.
WE SERVE
We serve a pan-Pacific collective ecosystem of festivals in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
More than 40 Pacific-led festivals are held across the country each year, celebrating the richness, diversity and vibrancy of Pacific cultures. Together, these festivals engage thousands of performers, hundreds of volunteers, and welcome more than one million audience members annually. Until now, there has been no national organisation dedicated to bringing this powerful ecosystem together.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to grow a connected Pacific festival network that increases access to resources, strengthens Pacific cultural understanding, and advances advocacy for the sector.
We do this through Pacific-led research, shared evidence, collaboration, professional development, leadership initiatives and sector resources — designing and delivering Pacific-focused activities that honour the vā and respond to the needs of our communities.

Our vision is for Pacific people and communities to live full lives as their authentic selves.
